Ema Lenght📉📈

The EMA (Exponential Moving Average) Length setting is a powerful trend filter that changes the context for "Normal" and "Smart" signals, allowing you to choose between trend-following and counter-trend setups. How the EMA Filter Works:

  • Smart Signals (Trend-Following):

    • This mode uses the EMA to confirm that a signal is aligned with the established market trend.

    • Buy Signals only trigger when the price is above the EMA.

    • Sell Signals only trigger when the price is below the EMA.

  • Normal Signals (Counter-Trend):

    • This mode identifies strong momentum signals that are moving against the current trend defined by the EMA.

    • Buy Signals only trigger when the price is below the EMA.

    • Sell Signals only trigger when the price is above the EMA.

Recommended Usage:

  • For Trend-Following: Use Smart Signals with a longer EMA (e.g., 200) to trade in the direction of the long-term trend.

  • For Counter-Trend Setups: Use Normal Signals to identify strong momentum that could signal a potential turning point against the primary trend.

Choosing the correct EMA Length and its corresponding signal type is key to aligning Infinity Algo with your preferred trading strategy.
